Summer has gone by way too fast. The fall terms at both Torrance and the South Bay Ault School (SBAS) begin very soon. In fact, SBAS classes begin in less than two weeks on September 8th, and Torrance one week later.
Time is running out to register for these classes.

Three of the new features that debuted in Lightroom 6/CC were producing HDR images right in LR without needing to go to HDR Pro in Photoshop, generating panoramas in LR, and also the new Facial Recognition capability.
Exploring these new features and many others will be included in the Lightroom class I will be teaching this summer for PVNet at their Promenade location in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Center. Stay tuned for details.
In the meantime, check out this great article by Colin Smith that describes these new features.
Lightroom CC / Lightroom 6 first look, review and tutorials – PhotoshopCAFE
PVNET has secured a huge space (about 15,000 square feet) on the Promenade in the Rancho Palos Verdes Peninsula Center for the summer. It is located immediately below the Regal Theaters, where a book store was a few years ago. Included in their facility will be a netted area to fly quadcopters and race RC cars. There are multiple class rooms being set up which will include 24 computers.
They have big plans for all kinds of technology activities and training this summer for all ages as illustrated in the poster below. There will an Open House on May 23rd and May 30th.
I will be giving a free workshop on using Photoshop CC and/or Lightroom 5 on May 30th. When more details become available, I will post them here and on my Facebook page.
A few weeks ago I wrote that PVNET had acquired the complete Adobe Creative Cloud suite. This includes Photoshop CC (2014) and Lightroom 5.
I will be teaching two Photoshop CC classes, Level 1 and Level 2 beginning April 3rd. To find out more about the classes, and how to register for them, CLICK HERE.
Remember, you can get a subscription for Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 for $10 a month from Adobe. Your subscription allows you to install both programs on two separate machines.
Currently, PVNET is the only adult oriented educational facility that has Photoshop CC on their computers. However, you need to register early, because each of the two classes can only accommodate eleven students.
Yes, that is right. PVNET has just acquired the complete Creative Suite package. Check out their current class offerings. In fact, there is a new InDesign class starting this Tuesday. As many of you know I have taught several classes at PVNET over the years. The Photoshop and Lightroom classes I have taught in the past, required students to bring in their laptops with the software installed.
Now, they have both Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 on their desktop computers. This will open up these classes to those of you who have the programs on your desktops. Within the next few weeks, I will be posting when I will be teaching classes in these programs at PVNET. Remember, Photoshop is now only a subscription program, and you can get it and Lightroom 5 for only $10 a month. That is a fraction of what it cost you to buy these two programs previously.
Stay tuned for more details.
